Chrysler is moving some heavy plastic and steel, thanks largely to Jeep. The automaker posted year over year sales tallies in June that increased by 9 percent. To find out why Chrysler is making headway while other brands are flagging, visit your local Butler Jeep or Butler Chrysler dealership.
The Jeep brand posted a sales gain of 28 percent, as well as its best June sales ever. This jump accounted for much of Chrysler’s sales gains. The Chrysler brand includes Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram.
The Jeep Cherokee was the sales leader for Jeep. Chrysler recently revived the iconic Cherokee nameplate, and consumers have responded very positively, as the new Cherokee combines all the features consumers loved about the model in the past, now with modern amenities.
The Ram was also a solid performer for Chrysler, posting gains of 14 percent in year over year sales for June. This gain was weaker than previous years’ gains, however.
Chrysler has revised its annual sales projections and expects to sell 17 million vehicles for the 2014 year, up from its original projection of 16.9 million. In a climate where many domestic vehicle makers are facing sales challengers, Chrysler is clearly proving it is a resurgent brand, and that its marriage to Italian automaker Fiat is paying off in new ideas and better products.
