In raw numbers, Chrysler, which includes the Chrysler brand as well as Dodge, Jeep, and Ram, sold 170,480 more vehicles this October than last October. The month was Chrysler’s best October since 2001. Jeep is leading the way for Chrysler’s sales boom, selling 52 percent more vehicles last month than it did in October 2013.
Sales leading Chrysler vehicles for October include the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 200, Dodge Challenger and Dodge Dart. Ram trucks have also shown considerable promise in increasing sales.
Chrysler has been on a roll for the last few years, posting year over year sales gains for the past 55 months. This is an incredible accomplishment for a company many had written off during the 2008 financial crisis that led to the Great Recession. A good portion of the credit for Chrysler’s renaissance can be given to Italian automaker Fiat, who bought the company and has breathed new life into its design and build quality.
