Ram trucks are charging ahead in sales, posting increases of 22 percent for the year and outperforming sales growth by perennial big-sellers in the truck segment. New Jersey auto consumers interested in America’s hottest pickup truck can test drive the new Ram at their local Butler Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership.

Big quality improvements, generous incentives from Fiat Chrysler, and a fuel economy advantage are helping to boost Ram sales. 2014 will be the second year in a row that the Ram has posted strong sales. Year-over-year sales grew by 21 percent in 2014. Ram sales growth is outperforming that of major competitors like the Chevy Silverado and the Ford F-series. F-series sales are slightly down this year.

Part of the Ram’s success is attributable to quality improvements. Since its merger with Fiat, Chrysler’s products have been improving as the European automaker has breathed new life into the company.  New Rams are using better quality components, and a new suspension system is giving the Ram a smooth, car-like ride.

Fiat Chrysler has been goosing sales with generous incentives. Chrysler incentives are nearly $1,000 higher than those of GM.

The new Ram also offers good fuel economy. The diesel version of the Ram gets 28 miles per gallon on the highway, making it the leader in fuel economy in its segment. Chrysler has announced that demand for the diesel version has resulted in the company doubling production.
